Determine The Easiest To Implement Ideas

Start off identifying the niche market of each bullet in your list. It will be easy for you to ID which markets are more niche.

Example:

  • Motors can be sold to car owners, especially ones with SUVs
  • College can be sold to high school seniors
  • Real Estate can be sold to anyone looking for housing in that town
  • Repair services can be sold to student tenants in our area with mean landlords
  • A spray can be sold to anyone who wears clothes
  • etc.

Notice how a niche like "pet lovers" is much more broad than "pet lovers ages 50+ who own at least two turtles and who live in orange county." The tradeoff is market size vs. competition.

Now, you want to choose an idea with an easy-to-make product and a very reachable, narrow niche market. While high school seniors are easy to reach with Facebook ads, starting a college will be a lot of up-front work. Is there another way to solve this problem?

If we can't think of an easier solution, it looks like our best bet is to go with the repair services to student tenants in our area. Is there a way to change this product from a service into a good, though?

Maybe instead of helping these students find repairmen we can research tenant law and write an ebook. We can show students the steps they can take to get a more proper response from their landlords.

It looks like we have a muse idea now. It's time to design our muse!
