Option 3: Learn HTML

If your site needs more functionality than a basic muse test site, you'll want to build a custom site. If you have a lot of free time, but are short on cash, we recommend that you use the Dreamweaver tutorials from Lynda.com to learn HTML quickly.

Once you understand HTML, you will need the following for your site:

  • A site logo. Lynda.com also has Photoshop tutorials if you'd like to make your own logo. Or you can use Elance.com to delegate the task.
  • A few example sites to give you an idea of what you want
  • Your product description and warranty/pricing info
  • Any testimonials
  • Any extra graphics. They can choose stock photos for you if you don't want to, but you'll usually be happier with the photos that you choose yourself.
  • PayPal button code for your team to copy and paste
    (You'll need a PayPal Merchant Account)
  • Google Analytics code for your team to copy and paste
